What is Conscious Leadership?
- Being connected to and leading from the heart allows heart-based understanding, intuition and discernment to guide thinking and action instead of fixed assumptions and conventional formulas.
- The heart provides creative impulsion through its promptings. The head makes rational sense of, tests, organises and implements. The heart accesses a field of awareness, quality of perception and level of intuitive insight beyond that of the head.
- Identifying, taking responsibility for and letting go of the fears, reactions, and habitually limiting perceptions within our personality/psychology. These keep us locked in reactivity, not creativity.
- Expanding our capacity to accept what is, lessening our reactive patterns of resistance, attachment and judgement that result in duality thinking (I’m right, you’re wrong), and win/lose behaviours.

Why Do We Need It?
- Our complex challenges - socially and environmentally, in business and politics, locally/nationally/globally - are not being effectively addressed or resolved.
- Most of our leading is based on an old dualistic ‘win/lose’ paradigm that disenfranchises large tracts of people in its wake. The dominance of this ego, fear-based approach negatively defines intention, stifles abundance and prevents us from accessing solutions that could deliver substantial, positive, transformative impact. This is in spite of billions of dollars being spent on leadership training and thousands of books published.
- We have failed to make the connection between consciousness and behaviour. Head-based formulas prescribing new ways of doing have minimal impact until we realise that the underpinning consciousness which determines how and what we understand needs to change. Otherwise these new ways deliver ‘more of the same’ in process and outcome and it’s difficult to transcend recurring impasses.
